Nikos Koulis is saying bonjour to France.
The jeweler, who established his eponymous maison in Greece in 2006, just opened his first international boutique in the heart of Paris. It comes roughly 12 years after Koulis debuted his inaugural standalone store in Mykonos in 2014, reflecting the growth of the independent jewelry house over the past decade.
The new outpost is located at the entrance of the exclusive Village Royal shopping district in the 8th arrondissement, neighboring luxury heavyweights Hermès, Prada, and Berluti. Koulis collaborated with London-based architects Bureau de Change on the design, with whom he worked on his Athens flagship in 2024. The duo preserved the charm of the original 1700s building, while incorporating their shared “clean and architectural” aesthetic across the two-floor space.

“I envisioned my Paris flagship as I do with my home: as a reflection of time, rituals, and feelings, not as an accumulation of things,” Koulis said in a statement. “I embraced a new language based on my existing vocabulary.”
The first floor sets the elegant tone, with herringbone timber floors playing against pops of metal, glass, stainless steel, and pink marble. The maison’s jewelry is displayed atop custom stone plinths, spotlighting the exquisite craftsmanship of each creation. Koulis, one of the most exciting jewelers of the moment, creates bold yet refined Art Deco-inspired pieces that push beyond typical design conventions. That pioneering spirit earned him a place in Robb Report’s Best of the Best issue this year.

Koulis has also created a line of sculptural furniture and objets d’art called moNO. The moNO table, floor mirror, and candlesticks—all of which are forged in hammered and mirror-finished bronze—are also showcased on the first floor of the new boutique.
The second floor features a seating area and a convertible space for both dining and private viewings. It is adorned with leather armchairs by Oscar Niemeyer, vintage carpets, a midcentury Kalmar glass chandelier, mirrors by Gio Ponti, and a red desk by Carlo Scarpa, resulting in a warm, cozy feel throughout. It is less like a store and more like the Parisian home of Koulis. In fact, the walls are decorated with artworks from the jeweler’s own collection.

“I wanted to build something with meaning, opposing the dominant notions of elegance, especially in a city with such heavy symbolism,” Koulis explains. “I embraced contradictions and multiple forms to retain a creative force; to stay true to what moves me.”
The Nikos Koulis Paris flagship at 26 rue Boissy d’Anglas is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
