If you were to imagine the ideal home for someone raised in Britain’s most famous baking family, it might look a lot like the Oxfordshire estate chef and author Belles Berry—daughter of beloved Great British Bake Off judge Mary Berry—has just put on the market. Raised in a food- and book-focused household, Berry trained at Le Cordon Bleu and later co-authored the Sunday Times–bestselling cookbook Menolicious.
Her home, Blenheim Farm, was built in 2020 with her husband on the site of a former bungalow that once formed part of an alpaca farm. Spanning more than 4,000 square feet, the flat-roofed, single-story house is designed to frame its countryside setting, with floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors opening onto terraces and wide rural views. Polished concrete floors, underfloor heating powered by an air-source heat pump, and full double glazing give the home a clean, efficient, and distinctly modern finish.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the open-plan kitchen is where things get serious. It features a large central island with a built-in champagne chiller and a dove-gray Aga range, a gift from her mother. A second, fully equipped kitchen doubles as a test and utility space, handling food prep, storage, and day-to-day tasks. As Berry puts it, “The joy of designing your own house is you can have two dishwashers, two washing machines, two fridges, and six bins if you want to—and we did.”
Elsewhere, the layout balances work and family life. A central library is lined floor-to-ceiling with books from her father’s antiquarian collection—her father, Hugh Berry, was a bookseller with more than 5,000 volumes spanning art, travel, and gardening, while a separate study offers a quiet space for developing recipes and ideas. The primary bedroom suite includes a dressing room and en suite bathroom, where a copper bathtub is positioned to take in the surrounding landscape.

Additional spaces include a sitting room set apart from the main living areas and an oak-framed music room that has also been used at times as a games room. Interiors incorporate materials and finishes from brands such as Porcelanosa, Lefroy Brooks, and Cole & Son, along with Moroccan-style elements and bespoke details throughout.
The property extends across about 10 acres, with landscaped gardens, paddocks, and a 60-year-old beech woodland. There’s also a swimming pool, a tennis court, and a separate three-bedroom cottage with a vaulted kitchen and living space. A large antique barn remains on-site, now used for storage but formerly part of the property’s alpaca farm operations.
For Berry, the house has been closely tied to family routines. “Mum always brings the pudding,” she says of their standing Sunday lunches. The property is now listed with Savills for about 3.95 million pounds, or roughly $5.3 million.
