A legendary New York address is about to join the Major Food Group (MFG) fold.
The hospitality empire, which includes hot spots such as Carbone, the Grill, and more, is taking its signature swagger to a new restaurant at 375 Greenwich Street in Tribeca, the former location of the iconic Tribeca Grill.
The prestigious perch on Greenwich Street will soon be home to an American tavern and steakhouse made just for downtown New York. Of course, not much else has been revealed about the spot, but the yet-to-be-named destination will be helmed by Major Food Group cofounder Rich Torrisi, with his partners Mario Carbone and Jeff Zalaznick at his side.

Tribeca Grill, of course, was the famed New American restaurant owned by Robert De Niro and restauranter Drew Nieporent. (The building itself is still owned by the actor, in fact.) Open for more than three decades, the dining room became quite the who’s who joint for downtown luminaries, with everyone from supermodels to celebrities to regular ol’ New Yorkers coming through its doors. The restaurant shuttered on March 1, 2025, but the location will see new life now, courtesy of Major Food Group.
“Mario, Jeff, and I have always been inspired by New York restaurants that become part of people’s lives—places that endure because they have real character, generosity, and soul,” Torrisi said in a press statement. “That is what excites me about this project. It is an opportunity to respect the legacy of an extraordinary address while giving people a completely new reason to walk through the door.”
MFG has a lot on its plate with all the restaurants in its umbrella—and it has a knack for settling in well-known buildings with grand interiors to match. The Grill, for one, is housed in the landmark Seagram Building in Midtown Manhattan in the old Four Seasons space, while Torrisi (the restaurant) can be found in the Puck Building on Lafayette Street. The group also opened Carbon Riviera in Las Vegas, housed with the Bellagio, late last year. The Sin City spot is focused on all things seafood, combining a nostalgic Italian elegance with all the usual fun Major Food Group is known for. That same vibrant flair will now find a new home at 375 Greenwich Street come 2027, when their new restaurant is set to make its debut.
