It’s been barely four months since Kristen Wiig doled out $5.5 million in an off-market deal for a 60-year-old home in Pasadena designed by the prominent Southern California architecture firm Ainsworth, Angel & McClellan. Now, as first reported by North Hillcrest, she’s already looking to offload her midcentury-modern abode in the desirable San Rafael Hills neighborhood with an $800,000 jump in price.

The comedian and actress—most known for her seven-season run on the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live and starring role in the 2011 movie Bridesmaids—is asking $6.25 million for the treehouse-like spread. Bryony Atkinson and Weston Littlefield of Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California share the listing.

Completed in 1965, the striking olive green–accented structure is tucked away behind a circular motor court, amid a sloping hillside parcel spanning nearly half an acre. Inside, four bedrooms and six bathrooms are distributed across roughly 5,600 square feet on three levels, showcasing interiors decorated in a California modernism-meets-traditional Japanese aesthetic imbued with warm redwood detailing, polished travertine stone floors, and wood-paneled walls and ceilings.

Within its own secluded corner is a sky-lit primary suite flaunting an integrated sitting area and a bathroom spotlighted by a walk-in shower with a porthole window. Separate guest quarters, meanwhile, come with their own living and dining areas, plus a small kitchen.

Dotted with native oaks and sycamores, the lush Kenneth Nakaba-designed grounds host a freeform swimming pool with an inset spa sitting next to a pool house, along with a built-in barbecue and bar, several patios, and winding garden pathways. A two-car garage can also be found on the premises.

Wiig, who is married to writer, actor, and producer Avi Rothman, is no novice when it comes to real estate. Per North Hillcrest, she’s owned at least eight homes from California to the East Coast over the years. Among them are a Malibu house she paid $5.5 million for in 2020 and sold four months later to Legendary Entertainment marketing chief Blair Rich for a $600,000 profit and a Case Study House in San Rafael Hills that she sold to actress Lily Collins for about $4 million in 2021.

She currently owns a multimillion-dollar vacation home on Martha’s Vineyard, but her primary residence is in Pasadena, just about a two-minute drive from the place she now has up for sale.
