Joe Flacco knows what it’s like to move around. The NFL quarterback won the Super Bowl with the Baltimore Ravens, where he played for a decade from 2008 to 2018. Since then, he’s bounced around the league, landing in Denver, New York, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Indianapolis, and now Cincinnati. But when it came time to put down roots with his family, Flacco knew exactly where he wanted to be—and it’s not any of those cities.
The Super Bowl MVP and his family spend most of their time in a 10,000-square-foot custom-built home in Haddonfield, New Jersey. About 10 miles outside Philadelphia, it’s close to where both Flacco and his wife, Dana, grew up, and now the couple is raising their five children in the residence, designed in collaboration with architecture firm Asher Slaunwhite & Partners and interior designer Bergman Vass.

Given Flacco’s career, it’s no surprise that sports and recreation play a central role in the property. There are both indoor and outdoor courts where the family shoots hoops. Ranging in age from 8 to 13, the children are constantly on the move and each has their own chic locker in the mudroom for sports gear and daily essentials. Out back, a serene pool is paired with a cabana finished with raffia accents and an orange-patterned powder room.

While the family leads a busy, on-the-go lifestyle, the home itself is designed as a calm retreat, favoring neutral tones and soft textures throughout. A 10-foot-wide rustic stone fireplace anchors the living room, while the kitchen centers on a large, veined-marble island. The same understated palette continues into the primary suite, where arched doorways and a soaring, chapel-like ceiling add quiet architectural drama.

Color still finds its way into the home, though in a restrained, thoughtful way. Soft blues run through the formal dining room, expressed in sculptural chairs, drapery, and the rug. Similar tones appear in the boys’ bedrooms, while the Flaccos’ daughter’s room is finished in pretty shades of pink. Floral wallpaper lines the built-in shelving, and her bathroom features a whimsical wavy mirror.
