Heesen made sure its largest steel superyacht yet was worthy of the title.

The shipyard just unveiled plans for its new 237-foot vessel, overtaking the brand’s previous record holder, Sparta, by 17 feet. Named Project Ananda, meaning “inner joy,” the hybrid-propulsion superyacht is also a highly adaptable creation that’ll be brought to life via Heesen’s Smart Custom platform.

To help out with the exterior, Heesen turned to the team at Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design. Project Ananda is home to five decks wrapped within an ultra-fuel-efficient steel hull. And there’s plenty of spots to unwind. A travertine-clad swimming pool with a nearby Teppanyaki-style bar inside acts as a prime entertainer’s hangout. (Via the renderings, we can spot two Jacuzzis onboard, too). The nearly 1,100-square-foot spa and beach club, meanwhile, is home to a sauna, a steam room, an ice bath, and a snow shower. If that’s not enough for you to relax, you can opt for the hyperbaric chamber, massage and medical treatment rooms, and a bar—features that just make sense, considering that more and more designers (and clients) are bringing wellness to the high seas.

The interiors were also brought to life by the Heesen-Sinot duo. The team chose to pair Heesen’s sleek profile with a softer look inside, with privacy an integral factor in the design. That starts as soon as guests step onboard: They will be led right to the central glass elevator, avoiding any social spots on their way to their cabins. Thanks to the superyacht’s customizable platform, the owner can choose to have their space extend to a forward-facing private deck or the aft deck. Both options can be personalized, too, with the foredeck owner’s suite including space for a private office, while the other owner’s space can be outfitted to mirror a more traditional primary stateroom. Heesen’s own in-house team will craft the interiors, too, adding an extra level of care to the project.

With 1,750 GT, the new vessel gets its grunt from a pair of MTU 12V4000 M65L IMO Tier III engines equipped with PTI/PTO gearboxes. The combo lets the 237-foot cruise silently for up to four hours, with a range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. Using a bit more juice, the superyacht can hit a max speed of 16 knots, too.

Though we have a little while until we see that silent cruising in action. Project Ananda’s launch and delivery are set for 2030, so it’ll be around four years until it splashed on the scene.
