Charles Leclerc Just Received His Sleek New 102-Foot Riva Superyacht

Charles Leclerc may not have won the F1 Miami Grand Prix on Sunday, but he still had a reason to celebrate this week.

The Ferrari driver, who went from a potential podium finish to being classified eighth after a last-lap crash and a post-race penalty, received his new Riva superyacht on Thursday during a special ceremony at the Italian shipyard.

The Monegasque racer clearly has an affinity for the Ferretti Group brand, previously taking delivery of the 48 Dolceriva Monza and the 82 Diva Sedici, among other yachts. (Riva is also an official sponsor and partner of the Ferrari F1 team, with the shipyard logo appearing on Leclerc’s helmet and race car.) His new 102 Corsaro Super is bigger and, dare we say, better than his previous Rivas, though.

“Charles’s passion for Riva, which is of course reciprocal, is a testament to quality and beauty that we welcome with boundless joy,” Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi said in a statement. “If such a formidable driver and icon of style and elegance chooses once again one of our boats, it means that Riva, and in this case the magnificent 102 Corsaro Super, offers unrivalled standards of beauty, liveability and technology.”

Unveiled in 2021, the 102 Corsaro Super is based on the popular 100 Corsaro but is longer and more luxurious. The first unit launched in 2022, with Leclerc’s the 20th to hit the water. Penned in partnership with long-time Riva collaborator Officina Italiana Design, the flybridge yacht cuts a sleek, dynamic silhouette with sporty lines and expansive glazing.

The 102-footer reflects Leclerc’s personal taste. The driver decorated the exterior with pieces by Italian luxury furniture brand Minotti and cushions by Thai silk specialist Jim Thompson. He also put his own spin on the flybridge, adding a bespoke bar with an oversized grill, an induction hob, two fridges, and an ice maker. Below, the beach club is complemented by a customized hauling ramp for launching and recovering water toys.

The refined, contemporary interior is decked out with furniture and furnishings by Poliform, tableware by Christofle, bedding and linen by Frette, and a specially designed Bang & Olufsen sound system. Leclerc himself picked various custom details, such as the door handles and the elegant Corian Calacatta Greige acrylic throughout. The primary is, of course, fit for racing royalty, with an adjoining en suite covered with polished Calacatta Vagli Oro marble.

As for grunt, the 102 Corsaro Super is more powerful than Leclerc’s Ferrari but obviously not as fast. It is equipped with two MTUs capable of producing 2,638 hp, giving the yacht a cruising speed of 24 knots and a top speed of 28 knots.
