Back in 2004, soon after he starred as Steve Stifler in the third installment of the four-part American Pie film series, American Wedding, actor Seann William Scott doled out just under $4 million for a coastal retreat in the western reaches of Malibu. Fast-forward a little more than two decades later, and the contemporary estate above Zuma Beach has returned to the market for $17.85 million. The listing is held by Chris Cortazzo of Compass, who declined to comment on the sale.

Completed in 1980, the residence offers five bedrooms, four full bathrooms, and a powder room in roughly 4,100 square feet across two levels. Warm and organic interiors boast stone floors, custom millwork, and soaring wood-beam ceilings throughout, while vast walls of glass provide plenty of natural light and seamless indoor-outdoor environs.

Resting on almost one and a half acres, the stucco and redwood structure is fronted by a gravel motor court and an attached two-car garage, with steps descending to a tiled entry next to a water feature. Inside, a sprawling great room has bi-folding glass doors spilling out to the backyard, while a formal dining area steps down to a family room anchored by a stone fireplace stretching to the sky-lit ceiling.

A cozy breakfast nook with a wine fridge and built-in bench seating connects to an open and inviting kitchen sporting smoked glass-front cabinetry, a veined-marble backsplash, and a curving eat-in island topped by globe-shaped pendant lights. An upstairs primary suite has access to an expansive terrace and a luxe bath with a freestanding soaking tub.

Perhaps standing out most of all, though, are the manicured grounds, which are laced with mature palms and host several alfresco lounging and entertaining terraces, as well as an oval pool and a wood footbridge that passes over a lily pad-covered pond on the way to a lighted tennis court with a viewing platform.

Scott, who is currently starring in the ABC sitcom Shifting Gears alongside Tim Allen and Kat Dennings, also listed a Los Angeles compound in the seaside community of Venice in early 2024 for just shy of $5 million, but it has since been removed from the market.
