LG’s ultra-thin TV is back and slimmer than ever.
The tech giant previously debuted its insanely slender TV in 2017, but now it has just unveiled the newest iteration at this year’s CES. The OLED Evo W6 Wallpaper TV measures in at just nine mm thick, and this time around it’s almost completely wireless (there is a small easy-to-conceal cable that connects to power).
The TV’s ultra-thin exterior was brought to life by minimizing the size of its components, as well as completely rejiggering its internal design. The drop also comes with the brand’s True Wireless tech: All its inputs are housed in the aptly named Zero Connection Box, so you don’t need to place a cable between the box and the TV itself—and the box can be placed nearly 33 feet from the Wallpaper’s spot in your home. And, thanks to LG’s new wall mount, the Wallpaper can sit flush against the wall with ease.
The new design is also LG’s brightest ever, thanks to the added Hyper Radiant Color Technology that helps the TV hit luminance levels up to nearly four times brighter than your traditional OLED. To make sure that you can view all that light from every angle, the company also equipped the Wallpaper with its lowest-reflecting screen yet, one that snagged an industry-first Reflection Free with Premium certification. The Hyper Radiant Color Technology also amplifies—you guessed it—color by amplifying black and vibrant hues.
As for its other features, the Wallpaper offers up LG’s Gallery+ services, meaning you show off over 4,500 images on its screen when it’s not in use. The TV comes with AI built in, too, giving its users the opportunity to interact with Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, and an upgraded AI Concierge.
“The Wallpaper TV represents the beautiful convergence of our True Wireless leadership, form factor innovation and 13 years of OLED mastery,” Park Hyoung-sei, president of the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company, said in a press release. “LG continues to raise the bar for OLED TVs, setting the standard for what’s next.”
LG is used to making a big splash at CES. In 2024, the company debuted its first see-through TV, a design that blends your surroundings and on-screen visuals together, at the tech-filled event in Las Vegas. The transparent Signature OLED T hit the shelves in December of that year, retailing for a cool $59,999.99 at the time. As for what the new Wallpaper TV will be priced at, we’ll have to wait and see.
