Four Seasons’s Luxe New Hotel in Mykonos Is Opening This Week

Watch out, Mykonos: A new hotel is splashing down on the scene just in time for summer.

Four Seasons is opening up a luxe property on the Greek island this week, its first to pop up in the nation’s beloved Cyclades cluster. (It does have a property on the Athens Riviera, of course, for a mainland stay.) The spot is just one of many high-end hoteliers making its way to Mykonos this season.

About 20 minutes from the Mykonos airport and Chora, the island’s main town, the hotel is nestled on the south side of the island near Kalo Livadi Bay. Four Seasons tapped Greek architect Nicos Valsamakis to imbue the property with Cycladic charm across its 15 acres, with plenty of those signature white-and-blue hues throughout, alongside stone walkways and gardens courtesy of landscape architect Helli Pangalou. Here, you’ll find 94 modern guest accommodations, all with a terrace to sit back and take in those Aegean Sea views. Plus, some even are equipped with a private plunge pool, for even more seclusion during your stay.

For the restaurants on property, Four Seasons turned to the acclaimed Rockwell Group (behind interiors of New York’s Or’esh and the View, among many others). Álef is where Mediterranean cuisine shines, with wood fires and terrace dining at the forefront. Corbu, meanwhile, is an ode to Italian cuisine, and Kafeneo shapeshifts from a coffee house into a cocktail spot as the sun sets. Last but not least is the Beach, a laid-back seaside spot open for tipples, juices, and coffee.

As for activities, Four Seasons Mykonos has plenty on the roster. The property is home to its own private beach, letting you tap into the energy of the island’s famed beach clubs in a bit more seclusion. Two infinity swimming pools are also ready for any fun in the sun. For some indoor relaxation, the hotel spa is home to seven treatment rooms, a sauna, steam room, and a juice bar on the terrace.

And if you want to explore outside the resort, just hop aboard the hotel’s shuttle or private transportation that can whisk you to any corner of the island. For exploration further into the turquoise waters, the property’s jetty can act as a launch point for private yacht charters to secluded beaches, day trips to other islands, a kite surfing adventure, and more.
