Orion Yachts has officially made it to sea.
The nascent shipyard, based in Yalova, Turkey, just launched its first superyacht, marking the beginning of a new era on the water. Aptly christened Orion One, the debut model measures 141 feet and was created for owners seeking comfort, efficiency, flexibility, and value in the sub-499GT category.
Featuring exteriors and interiors by Red Yacht Design and naval architecture by Alfa Marine Design, the newcomer combines a sleek steel displacement hull and an elegant flared bow with a lightweight aluminum superstructure. She offers a generous interior volume of 480 GT, too, with living quarters that balance form and function.

“From the first sketches, our goal was clear: to create a yacht with real volume, real comfort, and real usability, without losing elegance or character,” Fatih Sürekli, managing director of Red Yacht Design, said in a statement. “Orion One is a strong, honest yacht, and now that she has touched the water, that idea feels even more powerful.”
The yacht is suited to private use or charter, with a layout that creates distinct yet connected areas for guests and crew. The interior is described by Orion as “warm, modern, and timeless,” with an abundance of natural light and grand proportions. The yard hasn’t shared photos of the interior, though.

The main deck is geared toward entertaining, offering a spacious main salon, a formal dining area, and multiple other relaxation spaces with panoramic views. The owner’s suite is also located on the main deck, with an adjoining fold-down balcony creating a private open-air sanctuary. Below, the lower deck is home to two doubles and two twins. The yacht can sleep up to 12 guests across the five staterooms, but optional Pullmans create more accommodation if required.
Heading outside, the flybridge is decked out with a hot tub, alfresco dining area, and lounge. Below that, the upper deck offers another spot for open-air dining, and the foredeck provides space for sunbathing or lounging.
As for performance, Orion One is powered by twin Caterpillar engines that give it a cruising speed of 12 knots, a top speed of 15 knots, and a range of 1,500 nautical miles.

“Orion One was developed with a strong focus on dependable performance, balanced engineering, and long-term usability,” adds Cihan Sandıkçıoğlu of Alfa Marine Design. “Her steel hull gives her the strength and confidence expected from a yacht in this category, while the overall platform supports comfort, efficiency, and ease of operation.”
Construction on Orion One started at Yalova’s Hersek shipyard in 2022. Following the launch, the yacht will embark on sea trials next month, before her final delivery. It is currently up for sale with Fraser Yachts, with an asking price of 22 million euros, or about $25.9 million.
