Lamborghini sees no reason why you should expect less from its open-top models.
The Italian marque has just unveiled a new few-off supercar called the Fenomeno Roadster. The company’s latest vehicle may lack the roof of its hard-top sibling, but it delivers the same punch.
Both versions of the Fenomeno are based on Sant’Agata Bolognese-based automaker’s flagship, the Revuelto, making the Roadster the first open-top version of the three-year-old model. Despite this, the younger Fenomeno hasn’t just been dressed up in the same aggressive aero kit as its older sibling. The package has been re-engineered to ensure it delivers the same performance as its immediate predecessor despite the missing roof.

The main change is a reworked windscreen that features an integrated carbon spoiler, which directs over the cabin and into the engine bay where it can cool the vehicle’s 12-cylinder heart (and its carbon-ceramic brakes). Anti-roll bars have also been integrated into the carbon structure behind the cabin to elegantly provide protection for the driver and their passenger, and there is a new active rear wing system meant to increase downforce and provide better stability at high speeds. Each example of the model comes finished in Blu Cepheus, a hue reminiscent of the first open-top Raging Bull, the Miura Roadster, with red accents meant to pay tribute to the city of Bologna.
Despite the many changes made to the exterior, the Fenomeno Roadster and Coupe share the same mechanical components. The powertrain is built around a mid-mounted, naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V-12 mated to three electric motors and a 7.0 kWh battery pack. The ICE mill makes 824 hp by itself, but the hybrid system boosts total output to a hair-raising 1,065 hp, making this the most powerful open-top Lambo of all time. Thanks to all that grunt, the supercar can rocket from zero to 62 mph in 2.4 seconds, and from zero to 124 mph in 6.8 seconds, and reach a top speed of 211 mph.

Lamborghini plans to build just 15 examples of the Fenomeno Roadster, making it nearly twice as rare as the 1-of-29 cousin. The automaker hasn’t said how much the open-top speed machine costs, but we expect it will be priced significantly higher than the Revuelto, which already starts at $608,358.
