The ancient maritime city of Caesarea, located roughly halfway between Tel Aviv and Haifa in Israel, dates to around 10–9 BCE and was named in honor of Roman emperor Augustus Caesar. Its Roman ruins include an impressive harbor complex, a historic aqueduct, and a remarkably well-preserved amphitheater.
Today, Caesarea is an affluent resort town featuring galleries, cafes, and cultural attractions, as well as a world-class golf club and a long stretch of golden sand. The city is also among Israel’s priciest real estate markets, where one of the world’s most expensive homes is now available at $210 million. The listing is handled by Amir Davidson of Davidson Realty.

Perched on Caesarea’s prime first-row homes with sweeping sea views from the primary suite and rooftop terrace, the neo-Baroque-meets-Rococo megamansion was completed in 2015. The estate was designed by Citterio F.lli, with Cristiano Mattia Ferme as the chief architect, in collaboration with Yuri Puchinsky, with landscape design by Mor Avidan. The residence showcases exquisite marble, onyx, lapis lazuli, tiger’s eye, and malachite stonework, accented with 14-karat gold-leaf detailing and silk trim. Fluted Corinthian columns, massive chandeliers, intricately inlaid wood and stone floors, ceiling murals, and garden-themed stained glass add to its sumptuous character.

Spanning more than 63,000 square feet—substantially larger than the White House—the main residence features numerous entertaining spaces, including a grand salon, intimate lounges, a billiards room with a bar, and a ballroom-sized game room with a starry-sky ceiling. Two professional-grade kosher-compliant kitchens mirror the lavish attention to detail of the public rooms.
A separate spa complex of roughly 9,700 square feet includes an indoor pool, a resistance swim spa, a hammam, a gym, and dedicated massage and hairdressing suites. An underground gallery connects the two structures. Altogether, the estate offers five bedrooms and five bathrooms, plus another 10 powder rooms.

A barrel-vaulted stained-glass skylight soars over the indoor pool, where mosaic tiles depict delicate clusters of shells, while the elaborately mosaic-tiled zero-edge outdoor pool and spa sit amid expansive stone terraces and grassy gardens. A tiered fountain graces the center of the motor court, while a patio between the main house and spa pavilion features a massive fountain adorned with golden statues.
For complete comfort and peace of mind, there are two fully outfitted staff apartments, a whole-property backup generator, smart-home automation, a controlled entrance with integrated security systems and 24-7 surveillance, and a multi-zone climate control system.

There are indoor and outdoor swimming pools, both showcasing intricate mosaic designs.

Reports from 2020, when the palatial property first appeared on the market with an asking price of $269 million, indicate it was built by Russian billionaire Valery Kogan, owner of Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport.
Kogan is well known to the ultra-high-end property world. He recently sold his “Versailles-style” condo at New York’s Plaza Hotel to a prominent Russian banker for $21 million, and more than a decade ago, he reportedly paid $31 million for a nearly 11,000-square-foot apartment in Tel Aviv. He also made headlines back in 2017 when he allegedly spent millions to have Mariah Carey and Elton John perform at his granddaughter’s wedding.
