You might have to move if you want to get your hands on the latest exclusive Porsche 911.
The German marque’s Exclusive Manufaktur program has just unveiled the limited-edition GT3 Artisan Edition. The gorgeous coupe will only be sold in Japan and features a head-turning design inspired by two of the country’s most revered traditional crafts—glass cutting and indigo dyeing.
The Exclusive Manufaktur division is one of Porsche’s best-kept secrets. The program, which the automaker only began talking about openly earlier this decade, specializes in one- and few-offs and is responsible for some its most breathtaking vehicles. And the GT3 Artisan Edition, which will be limited to just 30 units, is an excellent showcase for the team’s ability to take a great performance vehicle and make it even more special.

Each example is finished in a brilliant coat of white topped with a graphics package made up of different shard-shaped blue accents. It rides on a set of bespoke wheels, the rear of which wear blue carbon-fiber aero discs with a glass-inspired pattern. When viewed from the side, the combination of colors is meant to symbolize the “flow of air and time.” Inside the vehicle, the seat inserts feature an indigo-dyed pattern, and there is blue and white trim on nearly every element, including the dashboard, center console, and door panels.
Mechanically, the GT3 Artisan Edition is identical to other examples of the most hard-core model in the 992.2 lineup. It is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six that makes 502 hp, 331 ft lbs of torque, and redlines at 9,000 rpm. Although the car is normally available with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox, the special edition is expected to only be available with the latter. The car does come equipped with the latest version of the Manthey performance kit, which includes an even more aggressive aero package and re-tuned suspension setup. Thanks to the upgrades, the two-door can rocket from zero to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds and hit a top speed of 193 hp.
Porsche plans to build just 30 examples of the GT3 Artisan Edition, all of which are being reserved for buyers in Japan only. The automaker has not said how much the vehicle will cost, but considering its exclusivity and bespoke details, something in well in excess of the standard GT3’s $235,800 starting price.
