Standing 32 stories tall, Sierra Towers in West Hollywood has been a magnet for movie stars, rock and roll icons, and showbiz moguls ever since it was completed in 1965. According to The Hollywood Reporter, no other residential building in L.A. has housed such a diverse and large group of A-listers—David Geffen, Sidney Poitier, Cher, Elton John, Katy Perry, Sandra Bullock, Joan Collins, and Courteney Cox, among them.

Known for its picturesque views, midcentury architecture, discreet staff, and prime location at the foot of the Hollywood Hills, right along the eastern edge of Beverly Hills, the Jack A. Charney–designed skyscraper is also one of the priciest addresses in town.

Case in point: a full-floor penthouse just listed by Linda May of Carolwood Estates for $39.5 million. If it sells near that price, it would set a new record for the most expensive condo sale in L.A. history. The current record belongs to a full-floor unit at The Century—located directly below Candy Spelling’s $35 million duplex penthouse—that traded hands in 2025 for $39.1 million.

Originally two separate condos that were later combined by then-owner Evan Metropoulos, an heir to the Twinkies fortune, the entire space was gutted and then sold to married Chicago philanthropists Dan Fischel and Sylvia Neil in 2021 for $17.5 million. A mere shell at the time, the couple spent the next few years and “many, many millions of dollars” finishing it in collaboration with the New York architecture firm Workshop/APD.

Completed in early 2026, the home has three bedrooms, five full bathrooms, and a powder room in roughly 7,400 square feet showcasing white oak floors and millwork, Simena limestone surfaces, and hammered bronze accents. A Savant system controls the lighting, window treatments, and radiant-heated floors, while floor-to-ceiling windows and nearly 5,500 square feet of wraparound terrace offer panoramic views stretching from the Hollywood Hills to the Pacific Ocean.

A large foyer off a private elevator landing leads into open-plan living and dining areas anchored by a massive stone fireplace. A sleek kitchen is outfitted with oak cabinetry, quartzite countertops, a breakfast bar, and top-tier appliances, while the primary suite has terrace access and dual walk-in closets and baths. There’s also a media room plus an office.

Topping it all off are plenty of building amenities courtesy of a hefty $11,500-per-month HOA charge, including 24-hour security, concierge, and valet services, along with a pool and spa, a fitness center, and ballroom and conference facilities.

The couple, both prominent legal experts, own at least five residences across the country collectively valued at nearly $100 million, as reported by North Hillcrest. Most notably, they recently bought an ocean-view penthouse in Bal Harbour, Florida, for $30.5 million, the most ever paid for a condo in the tony enclave just north of Miami Beach. They also lay claim to a 6,000-square-foot ranch alongside the Snake River in Jackson, Wyoming.
