When they were planning a permanent move from the U.S. to their homeland of England four years ago, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne put their longtime home in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Hancock Park on the market for $18 million. A deal failed to materialize, so the price was reduced and then it was removed from the market. Now, almost nine months after the legendary Black Sabbath frontman’s death, the residence has popped up for sale again, but this time for a million dollars less than the original ask.
Sharon, who is currently splitting her time between L.A. and the U.K., is now asking $17 million for the Mediterranean Revival-style manse, which the couple bought in 2015 for $11.9 million. Jonah Wilson and Josh Greer of Carolwood Estates hold the listing, which is only being shown to prequalified clients.

Radio star Frank Bresee and his former Playboy bunny wife, Bobbie Bresee, once occupied the place, which was built in 1929 by architect A.K. Kellogg. It was later restored and extensively upgraded by its previous owners, Saw producer Oren Koules and his wife, former Top Chef Canada judge Shereen Arazm.
Given a glam rework by the Osbournes, the creamy stucco and terracotta-roof structure is hidden behind tall gates on just over half an acre and offers a total of seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms in roughly 11,500 square feet over three floors, all with elevator access. There’s also a two-bedroom guesthouse with a kitchen above the detached three-car garage, plus elevator access to all three levels.
A portico entryway opens to a grand duplex foyer donning herringbone-patterned hardwood floors, a curving staircase with wrought-iron balusters, and a gold-hued chandelier dangling from a hand-painted ceiling. Arched doorways flow to an ornate living room warmed by a stone fireplace, along with a formal dining room and a handsome wood-paneled study. A family room connects to the bright and airy kitchen, which features a pink breakfast banquette surrounded by green-covered chairs.

Five en suite bedrooms on the upper floor include an expansive primary retreat that comes with dual walk-in closets and baths, while a lower-level screening room bathed in red velvet has a fireplace hood signed over the decades by famous Hollywood actors and musicians from Elvis Presley to Rita Moreno. Lastly, the manicured backyard showcases a mosaic-tiled pool with a Baja shelf and spa, along with an alfresco dining area sporting a pizza oven and barbecue.
Sharon, a former talk show host, still owns a 10th-floor condo at West Hollywood’s Sierra Towers skyscraper that she’s also looking to sell; it’s currently on the market for just under $2.3 million. She spends most of her time these days at Welders House, the family’s longtime country estate in England, where Ozzy is buried. Per online reports, she is also looking for an apartment in L.A. so she can stay close to her children and grandchildren.
