Bill Lawrence’s N.Y.C. Pied-à-Terre Lists for $7.9 Million

Bill Lawrence made his name in television with hit sitcoms like Spin City, Scrubs, Cougar Town, and Ted Lasso, and currently has three shows on the air: Shrinking, Rooster, and a revival of Scrubs. However, the Emmy-winning producer, screenwriter, and director and his wife—actress Christa Miller, who stars in both Shrinking and Rooster—are calling it a wrap on their longtime pied-à-terre in Manhattan’s NoMad neighborhood, just off Madison Square Park.

The Hollywood couple purchased the then-new apartment at 212 Fifth Avenue in 2018 for $7.55 million. With three grown children, they are now seeking larger digs in the city to better accommodate their family and putting their loft-like spread on the market for a dash under $7.9 million. Noble Black and Justin Figari of Corcoran share the listing.

Perched on the 14th floor of the 24-story building—where Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has spent $120 million over the years acquiring several units, including a penthouse triplex—the roughly 2,700-square-foot condo features generous rooms showcasing chevron-patterned oak floors, 11-foot ceilings, custom lighting, and triple exposures offering views of the Flatiron Building. An automated Savant system controls the climate, lighting, shades, and sound.

A book-matched marble and coffer-ceilinged entry foyer with a powder room and a coat closet connects to a gallery hallway. From there, a spacious window-lined great room holds a corner living room, a dining area, and an eat-in kitchen outfitted with milled wood cabinetry, a waterfall island, and integrated Gaggenau appliances. Three en suite bedrooms include the primary, which has a luxe bathroom sporting radiant-heated Thassos stone floors, fluted Carrara marble walls, a Lacava soaking tub, and a steam shower.

Residents are privy to plenty of amenities via a $4,261 monthly common charge, including a 24-hour doorman, a concierge, a fitness center with a yoga studio and treatment room, game and screening rooms, a resident lounge adjoining a dining/meeting room and catering kitchen, valet parking, and a private storage unit.

The showbiz pair, who maintain a primary residence in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles, near Lawrence’s production company headquarters, told The New York Times it’s important for them to have a home base in New York, especially since their youngest son is attending college in the city. “Any time we’re in New York, everyone wants to come and be in the apartment,” said Miller. “We need something so we can all be together.”
