The World’s First 164-Foot Fuel-Cell Superyacht Is Now up for Charter

You can now holiday on one of the most revolutionary superyachts of the era.

Contigo, the world’s first 164-footer equipped with methanol fuel cells, has just listed for charter with Cecil Wright for $355,000 per week.

Originally christened Almax, the yacht was built for Sanlorenzo CEO Massimo Perotti and delivered by his Italian shipyard in mid-2024. It was later sold in an off-market deal, at which point it was renamed Contigo

Based on Sanlorenzo’s popular 50Steel model, the tri-deck cruiser combines new green technology with classic Italian style. It is the first 50Steel to be fitted with a fuel cell system that converts methanol into hydrogen and then into electricity to power all onboard systems with zero emissions. That means you can enjoy extended stays at anchor with no noise or pollution.

You will be able to cruise to some great locations, too. Powered by a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system, Contigo has a cruising speed of 12.5 knots, a top speed of 16 knots, and a range of approximately 4,000 nautical miles. That makes her ideal for both Mediterranean island-hopping and longer voyages. In addition, her optimized steel hull, lightweight aluminum superstructure, and advanced stabilizers ensure maximum comfort and efficiency.

With an impressive volume of 1,347 GT, Contigo offers a sophisticated, spacious interior designed by Studio Lissoni. The living quarters exude a minimalist elegance, with natural materials and soft textures throughout. Five beautifully appointed cabins can comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests, with the owner’s suite positioned on the upper deck for the utmost privacy. Described as a “floating penthouse,” the primary comes with a private study and a dressing room, naturally. The yacht can also sleep 11 crew, ensuring all onboard are looked after.

Designed for both entertaining and relaxing, Contigo offers multiple indoor and outdoor lounge spaces across her decks. The full-beam ocean lounge and beach club provide direct access to the sea, making them ideal for seaside soirees and watersports. Speaking of which, the yacht carries a full arsenal of water toys, including Jet Skis, Seabobs, wakeboards, canoes, and tenders. Other standout amenities include a dedicated spa and sauna, a fully equipped gym, and a Jacuzzi with panoramic views.

Contigo is now open for charter enquiries for the 2026 yachting season. Contact Cecil Wright for more information.
