Jennifer Zabinski has built an A-list career planning large-scale events for high-profile clients. The founder of JZ Eventshelped produce Serena Williams’s 2017 New Orleans wedding to Reddit cofounder Alexis Ohanian as well as Meghan Markle’s New York baby shower ahead of the birth of Prince Archie. Now the event planner is making a move of her own and listing her Upper East Side apartment.
The three-bedroom home is within a prewar cooperative apartment house in Lenox Hill designed by architect Emory Roth and completed in 1932. The building is on a tree-lined block that’s known locally for a seasonal display of holiday lights strung across the street each winter.
On the market for roughly $4 million with Catherine Juracich, Thomas Ventura, and Lesley Schulhof of Corcoran, the apartment spans about 2,600 square feet and combines original prewar details with glamorously updated interiors. The layout moves easily between rooms, creating a natural flow for entertaining—hardly surprising given the homeowner’s profession. A foyer with stone floors opens into two living spaces, both with wood-burning fireplaces. In the main living room, dark hardwood floors and coffered ceilings frame a carved stone mantel, while large windows bring in steady natural light.

A formal dining room stands out with deep blue walls, paneled millwork, and a sculptural brass light fixture overhead, while the kitchen has been spruced up with taupe-colored lacquered cabinetry, gleaming white stone countertops, and a built-in banquette that forms a compact breakfast nook. A dedicated office area off the den sports built-in desks and shelving.
The floor plan divides the sleeping areas into three separate wings, each with an en suite bath. The primary bedroom includes its own wood-burning fireplace, along with multiple closets and built-in storage. The dining room, which currently has an attached half-bath, is easily convertible to a fourth bedroom.
Bathrooms feature marble vanities and stone tile floors, and several rooms have oversized windows with deep sills that double as informal seating ledges. Throughout the apartment, details like crown moldings, paneled walls, and decorative fireplaces nod to the building’s prewar roots.

The building offers the kinds of resident perks expected in a full-service Upper East Side co-op: a full-time doorman, fitness center, laundry room, and storage. The pet-friendly property also allows pied-à-terres, guarantors, and subletting after one year of ownership with board approval.
Zabinski’s firm plans events for private clients, corporations, and nonprofits around the world, with celebrations staged everywhere from European cities to remote islands. Her work has been featured in publications including Architectural Digest and Harper’s Bazaar, and in 2025, Vogue named her among its best wedding planners.
