Pharrell Is Auctioning Off His Rare Jacob & Co. Jewelry and Watches

Over the past 30 years, Pharrell Williams and Jacob Arabo have collaborated on more than 100 custom pieces of Jacob & Co. bling. Some of those bespoke beauties could soon be yours.

Joopiter, the online auction site Williams founded in 2022, just announced a remarkable sale of Jacob & Co. jewelry and watches created by Williams and Arabo. Running online from now until March 5, the aptly named Objects of Brilliance auction includes a curated collection of 30 rare and one-of-a-kind pieces from Pharrell’s personal collection and the Jacob & Co. archive.

The sale is led by an extraordinary necklace set with no less than 112.7 carats of yellow diamonds. Made only last year, the piece was based on a reference image that Williams provided of a historic diamond necklace worn by the Queen of England. He wanted something that had that same regal elegance, but was also bold. He also wanted it in yellow, as he has had a lifelong obsession with the color.

“Yellow is my favorite color… it makes you happy,” Williams said in a statement. “It’s the color of the sun, the greatest vitamin D source there is. It means adrenaline, it means pay attention.”

Arabo took inspiration from Edwardian high jewelry and opted for settings favored by royalty. Each fancy vivid stone was perfectly matched in intensity and quality, but presented in different shapes—squares, emeralds, Asschers, or hearts, for example—that were chosen for their fire and saturation. The diamonds were then carefully placed onto the gorgeous gold Edwardian-style setting. Arabo says it was the most difficult piece of jewelry he has ever made for Williams. The result is a true showstopper, with an estimated sale price of $6 million to $8 million.

Two more yellow diamonds feature on Pharrell’s gold gemstone necklace $700,000–$900,000). Described as one of his most prized possessions, the piece is adorned with roughly 81 carats of diamonds and about 38 carats of colored gems. That kaleidoscopic arrangement plus the 18-karat gold setting means it weighs over 260 grams.

Yet more yellow diamonds shine on a seven-row cuff bracelet set with 57 carats of fancy stones (estimate: $80,000–$100,000). It was one of the first pieces Williams acquired from Jacob & Co., and he wore it throughout the early 2000s.

On the watch front, Williams is offering up his own Jacob & Co. Five Time Zone Watch (estimate: $150,000–$200,000). This exceptionally rare 2005 example is stamped “Edition 001,” marking it as the first watch of the collection. Crafted in 18-karat white gold, the iced-out piece showcases 300 diamonds across the dial, bezel, and 49 mm case. It also has an ingenious multi-timezone layout that displays the time in New York, L.A., Tokyo, and Paris.
