Miami’s Ocean House Just Unveiled a $70 Million Duplex Penthouse

Ocean House just hit new heights—literally. Multiplan Real Estate Asset Management has unveiled the flashy penthouse that will crown the upcoming boutique tower in Miami’s Surfside enclave, with the $70 million asking price instantly putting it among the most expensive new condominium offerings on this tightly held strip of oceanfront.

The two-level residence takes over the building’s entire top floor and opens directly to a private oceanfront rooftop. All told, the abode spans about 14,527 square feet when you factor in interior living space and outdoor terraces, including roughly 3,000 square feet on the rooftop alone. From up here, the views are exactly what you’d hope for: wide-open sightlines over the Atlantic, with the city and skyline stretching out behind you.

The setting is a big part of the appeal. Tucked between Bal Harbour and Miami Beach, Surfside has quietly become one of South Florida’s most exclusive oceanfront neighborhoods, prized for its low-key feel, architectural pedigree, and limited room for new development. Against a coastline increasingly crowded with soaring condo towers, Ocean House has taken a different approach. The 12-story building will include just 25 residences, leaning into intimacy rather than scale.

“At the top of the market, buyers are gravitating toward homes that feel intimate and serene, with the ocean always present,” said Marcelo Kingston, managing partner at Multiplan REAM. “This penthouse is a statement of how people want to live now, quietly elevated, deeply private, and anchored near the water.”

That idea carries through the design. A transparent facade and wraparound floating balconies are meant to soften the boundary between indoors and out, while interiors by Carla Guilhem Design focus on natural textures and a relaxed sense of flow. “In a home like this, the most important gesture is restraint,” said Carla Guilhem, lead interior designer of the firm. “The spaces are meant to feel intuitive and serene, so the horizon and the changing light become part of the experience from sunrise to sunset.”

Inside, the kitchen is outfitted with waterfall islands, sculpted cabinetry, and Gaggenau appliances. Private areas skew spa-like, with natural-stone soaking tubs and elevated finishes. There’s no shortage of amenities either, from a game room with a billiards table and bar to a private cinema, spa, and fitness area. And then there’s the rooftop—a true oasis, complete with a pool, spa, lounge terraces, and a summer kitchen overlooking the ocean.

“Surfside remains one of South Florida’s most coveted enclaves, and opportunities at this scale are exceptionally rare,” Kingston said. “This penthouse delivers the rarity buyers are seeking right now, with a full-floor residence and private rooftop in a boutique oceanfront building defined by design and discretion, a true gem within the area’s most distinguished stretch of sand.”

Sales and marketing are led by Gutman Development Marketing, with Moss Construction overseeing the build. Ocean House is currently under construction, with the project expected to be completed in 2027.
