Honda’s newest scooter is about as versatile as they come.
The Japanese automaker is teaming up with China-based Sundiro for a new two-wheeler called the Square X125, according to New Atlas. The compact vehicle is an adventure model engineered for off-road riding that also comes with a fold-up table so that you can have a picnic when you reach your destination.
The Square X125 will be released by Honda Sundiro, a joint venture between the two companies that has been releasing motorcycles and scooters since 2001. The brand’s latest, which debuted at this year’s China International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition, sports a chunky, cyberpunk-indebted design and bold lighting package that wouldn’t look out of place zipping around a futuristic metropolis.

But the stylish scooter isn’t just for city dwellers. It’s powered by a fan-cooled, four-stroke 125cc single-cylinder mill. That mill, which features an overhead camshaft and two valves, isn’t the most potent, but 9.5 hp and 7.3 ft lbs of torque will be enough for most riders, especially since. Honda Sundiro says it can reach a speed of up to 55 mph. It does feature some attractive mechanical features, though. These include a long-travel suspension, which will make long rides and going off pavement that much more comfortable, and an anti-lock brake system, a feature you won’t find on many of its peers. It also has a 6.3-inch ride height and rides on all-terrain tires.
The Square X125 also comes with some unexpected creature comforts. The cockpit includes a 5-inch digital display, multiple USB outlets, and a remote key system. The saddle features a split seat, the back half of which can be used as a fold-up backrest or additional room for a passenger. Finally, the back of the bike is equipped with a folding table that could come in handy should you want to stop for a lunch break while you’re out on (or off) the road. This feature also doubles as a useful cargo rack for running errands or carrying luggage on longer trips.

The Square X 125 is set to go on sale in China later this month. While nothing concrete has been announced yet, New Atlas expects it to make it to Europe sometime next year. Unfortunately, a U.S. release seems unlikely at this point, which is a shame since the scooter starts at around $1,800.
