Black Pearl is welcoming people across the world aboard—virtually, that is.
For the first time, you can check out every inch of the famed 345-foot sailing megayacht—one of the world’s largest sailing yachts—thanks to a new video from IYC, where the vessel is now available for charter. It’s a bold move considering that details about the Oceanco-built vessel’s interiors were scant until last year, when the vessel first splashed down on the charter market. Now, though, IYC is taking that transparency even further with this walkthrough helmed by Captain Chris Gartner.
In the video, you can catch a glimpse of the largest exterior cinema screen found on any yacht, which acts as the star of the show on the 360-degree sundeck with plenty of lounge space to watch your favorite flicks under the stars. The upper deck, meanwhile, is home a Jacuzzi and a spacious dining area, and the expansive foredeck can be transformed into a sunset lounge with ease under sail. The main aft deck is where you’ll find the swimming pool, which comes with fun touch: “Another nice option about the pool is we can raise the floor and make it into a kiddy or even a baby pool and it’s really versatile,” Gartner says in the video.

Inside the main salon.
Then, the tour heads inside, which the captain knows “not many people have seen.” Kicking things off in the Night Lounge, that space can also be rather versatile, with all the fun taking place underneath a striking blue-hued ceiling. It can be opened up to the outdoors on both sides, which also houses a gym and a massage area, while the back area is home to a hammam. Further into the gilded interiors, you’ll find a massive main salon on the main deck, complete with gold furniture, eye-catching artwork, and a piano that was once owned by Napoleon. Elsewhere, passengers can enjoy the ornate 18-seat dining room, with terraces on either side, an office with a skylight, and a full-beam primary suite with a gold-clad his-and-his bathroom and deep, rich wood abound. (there’s also six other cabins aboard, with two VIPs, that can hold up to 12 guests).
The sailing megayacht’s tech is just as statement-making. Black Pearl is home to a towering trio of DynaRig masts, extending nearly 230 feet into the sky and covering just over 10,000 square feet of sail area in under eight minutes. That group makes the 345-footer one of the most technically advanced sailing yachts ever built, according to IYC, and a rather sustainable one, too: Under sail, the vessel can cruise at 14 knots, harvesting 138 kilowatts of kinetic energy that can power its batteries without even switching on the diesel generators. That means Black Pearl could cross the Atlantic Ocean, for example, while using a fraction of the fuel burned by other vessels.
For those wanting to take Black Pearl for a spin outside of their screens, Black Pearl is available for charter starting from $850,000 per week. Happy sailing.
