Turquoise’s 288-Foot “Vento” Is the Largest Yacht Ever Built in Turkey

Turkey’s largest yacht to date has finally hit the seas.

Turquoise Yachts just launched its new 288-foot stunner, the biggest vessel to come from the country yet. The flagship, known as Vento, splashed down from the shipyard’s facilities in Istanbul earlier this week.

Turquoise knew the megayacht had to be not only big, but beautiful, too. For that, the shipyard turned to longtime collaborator H2 Yacht Design (the duo has teamed up on 12 vessels over 17 years) for the behemoth’s interiors and exteriors. Smooth, curved lines run across the eye-catching Tour de France–inspired blue steel hull and the white aluminum superstructure, with the sharp bow and cascading aft decks acting as bookends.

With a volume of 2,550 GT, Vento offers ample living space across five decks. Throughout the exterior, you’ll find an enclosed, drive-in dock for your tenders, which gets you up close and personal to the sprawling beach club, complete with fold-out terraces, in the rear. You can also catch a glimpse of the 21-foot pool that stretches across the main deck.

And when you’re done with fun in the water, head to the touch-and-go helipad on the foredeck that doubles as a basketball court for a pick-up game or two. The sundeck, meanwhile, is home to an outdoor cinema, with a large bar and kitchen to enjoy your favorite snacks and tipples.

For the interiors, the owner was inspired by another H2 and Turquoise collab, the 253-foot Go. Like that megayacht, the owner’s suite forward connects to a private deck with a Jacuzzi and a cinema screen for some secluded lounging. The owner also has dual dressing rooms, an office, and an elevated table that lets you take in those sea views right over the bow. As for the other accommodations, Vento offers up two VIP cabins and four additional guest cabins on the main deck, each of which is gussied up with a unique color.

You’ll see plenty of fun hues inside, too, with touches of blue popping up throughout the living quarters. The main salon has a dining table with room for 16, while a staircase in the atrium can take you from floor to floor. For even more relaxation, the wellness suite, right off the gym, has a sauna, hammam, and a treatment room. In terms of grunt, Vento is powered by two MTU engines, which help the megayacht hit a max speed of 17 knots.

“Crowning more than 30 years of heritage, Vento is a remarkable achievement,” Turquoise CEO Burak Akgül said in a press statement. “As the largest yacht ever built in Turkey, Vento reflects the collective expertise, dedication, and passion applied to designing, engineering, and crafting yachts at Turquoise.”

Once Vento has been delivered to its owner, the megayacht will be available for charter via Edmiston. Happy sailing.
