Here’s your chance to own one of the most coveted Japanese sports cars of all time.

An all-white 1996 Nissan Nismo 400R will go up for bid at Broad Arrow’s upcoming Amelia Island auction. Not only is the model the rarest iteration of the R33-generation Skyline GT-R, but this example has just over 10,000 miles on the odometer despite being 30 years old.

The Skyline GT-R is known as “Godzilla” to Japanese Domestic Market enthusiasts, and the trio of generations—the R32, R33, and R34—released between 1989 and 2002 is the reason why. The second, which debuted in 1995 and was featured in Gran Turismo video games and Fast & Furious movies, is the version that really cemented the nameplate as one of the greatest sports cars in the country’s history. The Nismo 400R was built by Nissan’s motorsports division and is easily its most hardcore version, thanks to a slew of over-the-top performance upgrades. The automaker planned to produce 100 examples, but only 44 were completed before production of the R33 ended in 1998.

This Nismo 400R up for auction is the eighth from this production run, and one of only a “handful” to make it to the U.S., since the Skyline GT-R was never officially sold here. The car, which is clad in an aggressive carbon-fiber aero kit, is finished in Q1 White over a Nismo Black leather interior with red contrast stitching. Rounding things out is a set of color-matching Ray’s LM GT-1 wheels.

What really separates the Nismo 400R from other R33s is what you can’t see from the outside, though. The car, which was based on the range-topping R33 GT-R V-Spec, is powered by a Le Mans-derived 2.8-liter RBX-GT2 twin-turbocharged straight-six built by Reinik, Nissan’s endurance racing engine partner at the time. The mill features an enlarged displacement, larger turbochargers, an upgraded oil system, just to name a few of its mainly modifications, which boosted output to over 400 hp. Thanks to all that oomph, the car could sprint from zero to 60 in just 4.0 seconds and reach a top speed of 186 mph. This example has just 16,313 km, or roughly 10,136 miles, on the odometer and looks to have been kept in fantastic condition, so those numbers should still be attainable today.
