Russell Crowe is giving some love—or maybe a like or double tap—to Toledano Chan.
The Oscar-winning actor, who recently created a TikTok account to spotlight his Indoor Garden Party songs and insane watch collection, flexed the indie watchmaker’s newest release in two videos on the social media platform this week. That proves the 61-year-old is keeping up with the cool kids—when it comes to wristwear, at least.
Released only in February, the new b/1.3r is the fourth wristwatch from Toledano Chan. Founded by New York-based artist Phil Toledano and Hong Kong-based watch designer Alfred Chan, the independent brand burst onto the scene in 2024, unveiling a disruptive steel piece with a case inspired by Marcel Breuer’s iconic Brutalist building at 945 Madison Avenue and Rolex’s King Midas and a handsome lapis lazuli dial.
That b/1 was followed up by two more steel successors, with equally striking stone dials. The b/1.2 showcased mother-of-pearl on the face, while the b/1m featured meteorite. All three limited editions sold out within an hour (sometimes minutes) of release, generating serious hype around the brand and pushing the price of pre-owned examples well beyond the initial retail price. The b.1.3r is already getting attention, too, with Darren of Diverse Watch Collector naming it his favorite watch of the year (so far).

The new b/1.3r shares the same architectural silhouette, integrated bracelet, and Destro (left-sided) crown as its predecessors, but is the first of the quartet to be crafted in titanium rather than steel. It is also the first to eschew the traditional stone on the face in favor of 18-karat gold. The new “ripple dial” sees the precious metal shaped like small waves on the water. The newcomer is limited to just 350 pieces and priced at $10,200.
Interestingly, Crowe appears to have modified his b/1.3r himself. In the first video, which he shared on Wednesday, the actor shows what appears to be a jeweler’s screwdriver before panning to the watch. The video’s caption suggests he removed a link from the bracelet to improve fit. “Link removal successful,” he writes. “Now I can really feel the beauty and balance of the B 1.3.” In the next video, shared on Thursday, Crowe proudly shows off his new watch.
It seems we won’t have to rely purely on TikTok to see the actor’s prized pieces, though. One TikTok user asked if Crowe ever wears his own watches in his movies. “I have many times. Sometimes a prop watch just won’t cut it,” he replied. “There’s two movies coming out soon where I sport my own watches, Beast and Bear Country.”
Keep your eyes peeled, folks.
