The legendary Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani died at his home in Milan about five months ago at age 91, after working up until his final days at his eponymous company, the Armani Group.

His vaunted five-decade legacy includes the deconstructed power suit and a glittering army of glamorously dressed Hollywood stars walking the red carpet. He also left behind an impressive global real estate portfolio, with holdings ranging from a massive 18th-century Milanese palazzo to a penthouse on Central Park West and even a custom 213-foot yacht named Main, after his mother’s childhood nickname.

Now one of the Maestro’s many properties, a brand-new pied-à-terre within New York‘s Giorgio Armani Residences at 760 Madison Avenue on Manhattan‘s Upper East Side, has just hit the market for a smidge under $10 million. Madeline Hult Elghanayan and Sabrina Saltiel of Douglas Elliman hold the listing.

Though Armani conceptualized the six-room apartment himself, he never got a chance to live there, according to The New York Post. Sited on the sixth floor, the unit features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a powder room in a little more than 2,000 square feet boasting white oak parquet floors, 10-foot ceilings, and bespoke finishes created exclusively for the space, plus top-of-the-line home-automation and climate systems.

A semi-private elevator landing and a gallery foyer with limestone slab floors lead to a nearly 500-square-foot living room, which is bordered by 8-foot windows offering up picturesque city skyline views. A dining area connects to a corner eat-in kitchen, which was crafted by the Italian brand Molteni and comes with sleek white oak cabinetry, honed stone countertops, and integrated Gaggenau appliances. Secluded in a separate wing is a primary suite sporting a dressing room, as well as a luxe quartzite bath equipped with dual vanities, a soaking tub, and a glass-encased shower.

Adding to the allure are ample building amenities courtesy of a $6,695 monthly common charge, including a fitness studio, a spa treatment room, a Zen tearoom with service provided by Armani Ristorante, and a library lounge with access to a lushly landscaped terrace. A Giorgio Armani boutique and an Armani/Casa store can also be found on the premises.
