Fouquet’s Is Opening up a Luxe New Hotel in Miami

Fouquet’s is bringing its signature Parisian flair to the 305.

The storied French brand is opening a luxe new hotel in Miami, marking its second property located in the U.S. and the first high-end spot in the city’s Design District, Robb Report can exclusively report. (The hotelier’s first stateside locale, in the Big Apple, is one of our best luxury hotels in New York City.) And all that glamour will be housed within the Miami Design Residences Designed by Chipperfield, which is also the area’s debut residential development.

As the name suggests, Pritzker Prize-winning firm David Chipperfield Architects will take the helm here, adding a modern Miami touch paired with elegant European designs to create a 25-story tower overlooking the area. From the renderings, the building will be light and airy, with white textured columns, touches of greenery, and plenty of outdoor space for its residences and guests to enjoy views of the water beyond. Inside, meanwhile, you’ll find 143 condos up for grabs, while the 12-story hotel will be home to 85 rooms, making for a fully blended residential and hospitality experience; Fouquet’s will be overseeing the condos, too, integrating both spaces even further and allowing owners to experience all the attention they’d receive at, well, a five-star hotel. That means bespoke services, curated programming, and five dining experiences offer up by the hotelier, each with its own identity.

One of the main draws of the new property will, of course, be its location. The development sits on nearly two acres right in the buzzy Miami Design District, giving guests and residences alike direct access to an area that’s bursting with museums, restaurants, proximity to Miami Beach, and more. (The world’s top watchmakers, for example, have been flocking to the hot spot as of late.) Fouquet’s, and its parent company Barrière, is no stranger to being in the heart of the action, either: The brand has had a presence on Paris’s Champ-Élysées since 1899.

“The creative sophistication of the Design District perfectly complements our ultra-luxury destinations from Tribeca and Gustavia to Courchevel and the Champs-Élysées,” Gregory Rabuel, CEO of Barrière, said in a statement. “By marrying our deep heritage with David Chipperfield’s architectural vision, we look forward to delivering Fouquet’s signature art de vivre to both residents and guests.”

Fouquet’s Miami is expected to open its doors in 2030. Meanwhile, sales at the development, located at 39 NE 39th Street, are set to begin this month via Corcoran. For more information, head to www.miamidesignresidences.com or email the sales team at info@MiamiDesignResidences.com.
