When Jules Verne was dreaming up his big (fictitious) adventure around the globe, he certainly couldn’t have imagined a ship like this as his main ride.
Explora Journeys has just unveiled a bonkers new adventure on the seas that will span four continents and 63 destinations, everywhere from Barcelona to Australia to Peru, aboard its luxe Explora 1 ship. And it’s meant to be one continuous journey, meaning that you’ll be calling the high-end, 814-foot liner home for a whopping 128 days when the trip comes around in 2029—a tad longer than Verne may have envisioned, but no less spectacular, of course.
The itinerary is split into seven different journeys—or Passages, as the brand calls them—that will allow you to be fully immersed in the culture and beauty of each leg of your trip. You’ll start things off in Dubai, where desert landscapes of the Arabian Peninsula and Indian port cities will be the stars of the show before you head off toward Singapore, taking in the lush coasts of Sri Lanka. Then, you’ll travel down under, headed to Australia via Bali, Komodo, and Papua New Guinea with the Great Barrier Reef as your guide.

You’ll be stopping by famed sites in the Pacific, like Easter Island.
Explora Journeys
From there, it’s off to Auckland to explore New Zealand’s finest fjords before you travel toward Tahiti to take in some of the bluest waters on the planet, with stops in the Cook Islands and Figi, too. After that, you’ll sail straight ahead to South America, a more remote journey that will land you right in Chile’s Valparaíso. Then it’s off toward Miami as you travel north through Lima (with a chance to stop at Machu Picchu) and the Panama Canal before heading off to through the Caribbean. And, finally, for the trip’s final leg, you’ll say goodbye to the 305 and set out for Barcelona, saying hello to New York City, Lisbon, and Cadiz, on your way. You’ll also get 12 overnight stays throughout your time aboard, giving you even more of a chance to explore your surroundings.
And Explora I will be your home through it all. Unveiled back in 2023, the vessel is meant to be a floating hotel on the seas, with all 461 oceanfront suites paired with private terraces and modern amenities. All that is accompanied by six restaurants, 12 bars and lounges, five heated indoor and outdoor pools, wellness experiences, and more.

A pass through the Panama Canal is also on the itinerary.

“Endless Worlds is an invitation to experience the world as one uninterrupted story—a Journey that unfolds gradually, gracefully and with an emphasis on continuity” Anna Nash, president of Explora Journeys, said in a statement. “Each Journey option reflects the signature values of Explora Journeys: unhurried discovery, cultural curiosity, intuitive service and a profound connection to the sea. Whether it’s the spiritual tranquility found in a Balinese temple or the vast theatre of the open ocean, we are providing a sanctuary from which to witness the world in its most authentic form.”
For the full Endless Worlds experience, you can hop onboard for the complete 128-day itinerary, known as the World Journey, from January 6 to May 14, 2029. Two shorter voyages are also on offer: a 112-day stay from Dubai to NYC, and a 108-day journey from Dubai to Miami. Reservations to book your spot are open now via your preferred travel agent or via on Explora’s website. Happy sailing.
