‘Euphoria’ Star Colman Domingo’s SoCal House Lists for $2 Million

After nearly eight years filled with “memories of pool parties, celebrations, quiet moments of solitude and pure joy,” per a recent Instagram post, Colman Domingo has decided to part with his home in the city of Downey on the outskirts of Los Angeles.

The veteran stage and screen actor—probably best known for his recurring role as Ali, a recovering drug addict, on Euphoria, as well as his lead performances in the biopics Rustin and Sing Sing—has put a $2.05 million price tag on the stylishly decorated digs, which were featured in Architectural Digest in 2021. Jacqueline Tager of Sotheby’s International Realty holds the listing.

Domingo and his longtime husband, producer Raúl Domingo, paid nearly $1.2 million for the property in late 2018. Built and designed in the early 1960s by architect Jules Salkin and known as the Hofkin Residence after its original owner, the ranch-style house offers four bedrooms and five bathrooms in roughly 3,400 square feet of chicly updated and preserved living space set amid a fully fenced and gated parcel spanning over a third of an acre.

Upon entry, a tiled foyer steps down to a wood-beamed great room holding a raised-hearth stone fireplace and a bar tucked in the corner. A nearby dining area comes with integrated cabinetry, while the teak-clad kitchen sports an eat-in peninsula with seating for three, double KitchenAid ovens, and a breakfast nook dressed in a botanical wallpaper. Sliding glass doors spill out to the backyard, which holds a large pool with a diving board, plus a pergola-shaded sitting area.

In addition to an exercise room and a wood-paneled office with a built-in window seat and bookshelves, an inviting primary suite comes with polished concrete floors and an elevated stove-style fireplace framed in herringbone-patterned brick. A definite standout is the attached bathroom, which sports a sunken tub sidled up to a colorfully striped wall composed of original tiles from the iconic mosaic tunnels at L.A. International Airport, designed by Janet Bennett, under the supervision of Charles Kratka, and implemented by tile artist Alfonso Pardiñas in the 1960s.

Domingo’s first leading role came as openly gay Black Civil Rights leader Bayard Rustin in the George C. Wolfe-directed historical drama Rustin, for which he earned his initial Oscar and Golden Globe nods. He’s also appeared in The Color PurpleSelmaMa Rainey’s Black BottomFear the Walking DeadThe Four Seasons, and Euphoria, the latter of which earned him a 2022 Emmy for “Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series.” He’s got a handful of Tony nominations under his belt to boot.

The couple still owns a striking Malibu residence crafted by modernist architect Ed Niles they picked up in 2024 for $4.4 million.
