Brabus Unveils Its First Two Modified Lamborghini Models

Nothing is ever enough in the eyes of Brabus.

The German tuner has just unveiled its very first modified Lamborghinis, the 900 Mint and the 900 Superblack. The two super SUVs are based on the Urus SE feature bold colorways, aggressive aero kits, and an even more Italian marque’s hybrid V-8.

As with so many Brabus builds, any discussion of its modified Urus, or at least the 900 Mint, is its color. The tuner has finished the SUV’s body, which is now even more sculpted than before, thanks to a downforce-maximizing body kit, is finished in a head-turning coat of Mint Green. But it’s not just the body finished in the color, either. Everything aside from the grille, lights, and windows is coated in the outlandish hue, including the vehicle’s 24-inch Brabus monoblock wheels. The 900 Superblack, meanwhile, is coated almost entirely in black with the exception of the more exaggerated elements of its body kit, which feature an exposed-carbon-fiber finish.

Things aren’t any more restrained inside the SUV. As is Brabus’s wont, practically ever surface, from the dashboard to the door cards to the seats, is covered in soft leather. The seats, both in the front and back, also have inserts that feature the tuner’s trademark “Ellipse” quilting pattern. The 900 Mint’s cabin is done in Stone Mint leather, which seamlessly matches its exterior, while the 900 Superblack’s cabin is covered in black leather with matching Alcantara trim.

It’s easy to get stuck on the 900 Mint and 900 Superblack’s looks, but they’re also true speed machines. The Urus SE’s plug-in hybrid 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 has been given a tune that boosts output from from 789 hp and 701 ft lbs of torque to 900 hp and 775 ft lbs of torque. Thanks to the added grunt the vehicle can sprint from zero to 60 in 3.2 seconds and hit a top speed of 194 mph, which are absolutely absurd numbers for an SUV, even one made by Lamborghini.

Of course, adding either of the modified Urus models to your collection won’t come cheap. The 900 Mint starts at €583,070, or roughly $690,000, while the 900 Superblack starts at €439,000, or roughly $520,000.
