This extravagant Bel Air spec mansion, known as La Fin (The End), first hit the market back in early 2022 with an ambitious $139 million price tag. Despite a series of reductions in the ensuing years, there haven’t yet been any takers, and it’s now officially back up for grabs with a substantially reduced ask. You’ll still need a big bundle of cash to pick up the snazzy spread, however, which is now being offered for $99.95 million. If the estate sells for anywhere near the current listing price, it will still be a big payday for its owner, real estate investor and physician Joseph Englanoff, who acquired the then-vacant parcel in 2014 for $5 million and then spent five years and millions of dollars developing it.
Completed in 2021, the massive stone and metal structure has a total of 12 bedrooms and 17 bathrooms in roughly 105,000 square feet, a staggering amount of space dispersed across three levels boasting custom Italian La Contessina furnishings, plus vast walls of glass framing sweeping views of Los Angeles from its two-acre perch. Adding to the mix are additional staff and guest quarters, an elevator, fingerprint technology, and a security command center.

The mansion comes with both a sub-zero vodka-tasing room (left) and a 1,000-bottle wine cellar (right).

From a gated motor court, steps pass over a water feature before emptying at a large pivoting glass door that opens to reveal a 44-foot chandelier with 55,000 crystals dangling in the center of a grand spiral staircase. A formal living room anchored by a hand-carved stone latticework fireplace adjoins a cocktail bar, and the opulent dining room seats 14, while the Arclinea kitchen comes with an extended eat-in island and a butler’s pantry. The upstairs primary suite flaunts a wraparound balcony, a fireside sitting area, a coffee bar, dual showroom-style closets, and a luxe bath spotlighted by a 100-square-foot shower.
Other notable highlights include a 6,000-square-foot lower-level entertaining area. Along with commercial-grade catering facilities, a soundproof cinema, and a fitness center with a rock climbing wall and steam and massage rooms, there’s a bespoke bar, a 1,000-bottle wine cellar, a sub-zero vodka-tasting room, a cigar lounge, and an automated rotating car display gallery. The perks continue outdoors with an infinity-edge pool flanked by a 23-foot LED screen that pops up for movies and a rooftop deck sporting a spa and a fire pit.

The listing, which is accepting cryptocurrency as a form of payment, is offered by a team of seven power brokers, including Aaron Kirman and Tomer Fridman of Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California; Shauna Walters and Nicole Plaxen of Sotheby’s International Realty Southern California; Josh Altman and Jacob Greene of Douglas Elliman Real Estate; and Sally Forester Jones of Compass.
Englanoff, a well-known player in L.A. real estate circles, was also a lender on Nile Niami’s The One spec mansion in Bel Air, which was originally listed for $295 million and ultimately sold at auction to Fashion Nova founder and CEO Richard Saghian in 2022 for $141 million.
