Art and oceanfront living converge in this 7,000-square-foot Hamptons estate, perched on nearly two acres of prime beachfront property overlooking Mecox Beach in Bridgehampton. Built in 2018 for Ara Arslanian, a second-generation member of the Arslanian diamond family, the home reflects his lifelong ties to New York’s 1980s art scene. Over the decade, he formed close relationships with some of the era’s most influential artists and collected works by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol, Jeff Koons, Keith Haring, and Julian Schnabel.

Conceived in collaboration with Mark C. Matthews Architecture and D’Apostrophe Design, the home was meant to be both a family hideaway and a gallery-like setting for displaying some of his prized pieces. Wrapped in UV-protected Arcadia glass, the residence protects the art while emphasizing the ocean views.
The angular structure follows a relatively linear layout that unfolds over three levels. One wing of the ground floor is designed as a spacious great room, with two separate living areas, plus a dining area and a modern kitchen. A fireplace sits at one end of the room, next to doors that spill open to a heated gunite saltwater pool. Another wood-burning fireplace is found in the nearby office, and you can also chill out in the media room or put some reps in at the gym. Among its most unique features is a glass elevator for an ocean view while moving between floors.

Large enough to host both family and friends for summer weekends and holidays, there are seven bedrooms, seven baths, and two powder rooms. Many of the bedrooms have beach views and ocean-facing balconies, while the expansive primary suite features a water-facing sitting area and a large terrace where you can kick up your feet in an Adirondack chair. The en suite bath is equally striking, with a sleek soaking tub under a picture window.
Just in time for summer, the artful, modern beachfront estate is listed for $45 million with Kyle Rosko, Keren Ringler, and John Gomes of Douglas Elliman.
