Want to take a walk on the wild side? Try “The Other Side,” a bonkers Miami Beach condo on the 30th floor of the Continuum’s South Tower, with views of Biscayne Bay and the downtown skyline.

What the South Beach pad may lack in size—it’s just under 1,800 square feet—it makes up for in audacious design, a moody mix of haute European style and Fifty Shades of Grey. Take, for example, the literal centerpiece of the bedroom: a $350,000 rotating bed, done up in crocodile leather and surrounded by colorful backlighting with a mirror on the ceiling. It’s a vibe, for sure.

Statement-making touches include an entrance vestibule swathed in cowhide fur walls and a luminescent rose-colored stone breakfast bar in the modern kitchen. Back in the primary bedroom, there’s a multi-color backlit onyx bar, and steps from the bed is a marble jacuzzi tub with a waterfall feature. 

Throughout, the out-there design has been paired with state-of-the-art tech and security upgrades. Another $350,000 was splashed out to equip the spread with facial-recognition access, immersive surround sound, a Savant home automation system, and motorized shades. 

The Continuum South Beach also provides residents with a host of luxe amenities. The 12 private beachfront acres include a massive lagoon pool, a 6,000-square-foot fitness center, tennis courts, a spa, and a private restaurant. In addition, “The Other Side” comes with on-site storage and a parking space at the building. Julian Johnston at Corcoran holds the $5.2 million listing.

The Continuum has been home to some notable names. Early last year, Bill Roy, the CEO of BlockGen, listed his 28th-floor spread for $26 million—it sold for a smidge under $24 million—and in October the artistically designed former residence of the late Tony-winning producer Joe Caiola, also combining two condos into one, hit the market for $19.4 million, eventually selling for $18.8 million.
