From Naples to Palm Beach, South Florida has no shortage of trophy homes, but one legacy compound in Miami’s posh Coconut Grove neighborhood, now available for $115 million, includes a private marina on Biscayne Bay. Dubbed Banyan Ridge, after the 100-year-old banyan tree that towers over the swimming pool, the 4.5-acre bayfront property, initially listed last year at $135 million, encompasses eight different structures spanning a total of 13 bedrooms and 15 full bathrooms.
There are two homes that might easily serve as the main residence. A bold architectural structure shrouded in tropical foliage and built in the early 2000s for Peter B. Lewis sports vaulted ceilings, terrazzo and wood floors, and a gleaming chef’s kitchen. The primary suite includes a massive all-white bathroom with swooping curves, and elsewhere there’s a walk-in wine cellar for storing your bottle collection. An older home, meanwhile, is a glass-walled masterpiece with three bedrooms, four bathrooms, and open views across the bay of the city’s downtown skyline.

One of the guest houses sports colorful mosaic tiling throughout.

The three-bedroom, three-and-ah-half-bath guesthouse, originally built in the 1920s for former Secretary of State William Jennings Bryan, is nothing short of spectacular. Colorful Turkish mosaics emblazon the floor of many of the rooms, with a ’70s-esque color palette in the den and aqua hues in one of the bedrooms. The dining room here seats up to 20 people, perfect for hosting large gatherings, and the kitchen is decked out with multiple fridges, sinks, and dishwashers.

Elsewhere across the property are a two-story midcentury-inspired poolside gym and spa with a steam room, sauna, and meditation space; a one-bed/one-bath guest pod; and a bayfront cabana with a bathroom, kitchen, and deck above a storage area for kayaks and other watercraft.

A 100-year-old banyan tree is the centerpiece of the sprawling property.

At the heart of the estate is an 80,000-gallon infinity pool shaded by the estate’s namesake tree. Paths meander through lush, tropical greenery, waterfalls spill into hidden grottos, and, just beyond a koi pond, gardens are planted with vegetables and orchids. For those who enjoy spending their time on the water, the estate’s 180 feet of bay frontage include a private marina with a 12,000-square-foot dock with a boat lift.
Nathan Zeder and Danny Hertzberg of the Jills Zeder Group hold the listing.
