You cannot mention the word gentlemen’s club, without hearing of the pioneer and creator Michael J. Peter.
Michael graduated with a degree in Hospitality/ Restaurant Management from prestigious Cornell University.
After opening his first adult club The Dollhouse, he then created Solid Gold one of his many successful gentlemen’s clubs. Although the dancers performed in full nudity, Mr. Peter performers always were dressed in beautiful gowns. It was a classy establishment designed for gentlemen.
Sadly, after an agreement Solid Gold signed with the city 11 years ago, they required by a court agreement to terminate their adult entertainment operations on Monday, November 2015 .
Now in exchange, the city of Oakland Park said the club could continue with no nudity. Certainly, this plan was not in the best interest for the club owners.
However the innovator and entrepreneur, Michael J. Peter thought of a new idea of turning the former Solid Gold into a headliner venue for music artists to perform.
Last night, was the test preview featuring X Factor, Lillie McCloud. When I received the invite, I did not know what to expect. I have gone to Solid Gold many times for dinner which, was amazing each time! When I arrived just like old times, friendly gorgeous faces greeted me with smiles, including the bouncers.

Delicious hor d’oeuvres were served. It is such a beautiful venue.
The idea to turn Solid Gold into a venue for musical acts to perform is brilliant. “To build a venue like this one will cost millions of dollars”-Michael J. Peter
Lillie McCloud brought the house down, she is a triple threat; Bold, Beautiful and Breathtaking. The stage act was incredible, singing songs from Motown to Soft Rock. Vocals like no other, on the X Factor she brought Kelly Rowland and Simone Cowell to tears as she received a standing ovation.
It looks like the perfect place to be, former gentlemen’s club turned a night out with Lillie Mcloud and dinner.
